-The '''Yao''' are at home in the [[Akai Mountains]] where their ancestors have been hiding from the '''fey''' that had been inhabiting the river valleys in the forests for countless generations. Yao mostly live from hunting and raising goats but also grow potatoes in sheltered valleys. Their villages are usually small and their clans widely dispersed and they are not commonly encountered in large groups outside the mountains. They have no [[heors]] and are too large to ride [[ogets]] and so are used to carrying heavy loads over long distances.
